New Year's Day

Most years Mum gets together with a couple of her cousins and her cousin's family. This year Mum was hosting and she catered for her cousin (Ena), her husband (Robin), their daughter (Lucy), their son (Dr James), his wife (Mansura), another of her cousins (Frank), my youngest sister (Jo), her husband (Mark) and I. So, including Mum, there were 10 of us.

We had great food and a great laugh. I was asked to organise a Family Fortunes game and that went down so well that we played a second game of it. We also played 'this is a hippopotamus', 'this is a sad and solemn occasion' and 'crossed or uncrossed'. I'm sure the games have proper names, but I've never known what they are.

Here's a few photos from the evening

The star and best behaved that evening was Mum's dog Daisy
who you can only just see in this photo!!

Lucy and Daisy were soon best friends

Seconds before this photo, Daisy was laying between Frank and Lucy moving at the last moment. Probably to get in the frame better!

At the end of the evening though, she was back to being Mum's bestest little girl

Here's Ena and Robin

Closely followed by Dr James and Mansura

Mansura and Ena

and Jo and Mark being their usually silly selves

Thanks Mum for hosting and providing food for a fab evening.
Must do it again sometime.
