Double Clouds

Looking out of the sky light earlier, I saw the dark clouds moving. Woohoo, I hear you cry, clouds move all the time!!! I have to agree, but this time, as they moved, I saw white fluffy clouds behind/above them. A double layer of clouds fighting for front stage and by the speed of the dark clouds, the light, white fluffy ones are moving as there's a blue sky up above.

Anyway, that's my view from my window tonight. Just thought I'd share it with you.

UKScrappers Weekly Challenge - May Week 5

Jemma (Jim Jams) set this week's challenge and she challenged us to go simple.
That's right up my street, so I was up for the challenge and here's what we had to do:

Use one or more 4x6" photos - I've used 2
Do some punching - the little flowers near the bottom are punched
History - the history of the red telephone box

Journalling reads:

In the 1920's, the Metropolitan Boroughs Joint Standing Committee and Royal Fine Arts Commission organised a competition to design a new phone box. Sir Giles Gilbert Scott (09/11/1980 - 08/02/1960) entered his design and so the K2 came into being. Sir Giles Gilbert Scott was also responsible for Liverpool Cathedral and Battersea Power Station. But this story's about the K2 and here are some facts and figures: 1) it's approximately 9ft 3in / 282cm high, 3ft 6in / 107cm wide and weighs approximately 1,250kg. 2) originally Scott had intended the kiosk to be silver with a "greeny-blue" interior. The Post Office thought differently though and  because their post boxes were already red, this was a natural choice. 3) They were first installed in London and 1,700 were made with approximately 208 remaining when counted in October 2009.
(If  phone boxes could talk, what would this say?)

This is a paper LO (not digi!!!) and I've used:

Jenni Bowlin Studio Crepe Paper Ribbon in red
ScrapAGoGo Union Jack stamp
Sassafras cherry delicious winsome - double sided heavy weight PP
Sassafras cherry delicious wee bundles 6x6 paper pad for:
Telephone picture and Punched number flowers

All items were in a kit I won from ScrapAGoGo last year.

52Q ~ Q21 - Journalling and LO

Q22 - Which direction am I going in?

Well, I've had enough of going backwards and of standing still. I've had enough of struggling to find a job and not being qualified or having the regular qualifications. I've had enough of how life was and want a good life. A happy life. A life where I'm not struggling to cope mentally, physically and financially.

So, I decided to take a new direction. No looking back. I've started an OU course in 'Web Design' and hope to make it my career. Once this course is over, I've been offered the loan of a suitable camera for doing an OU photography course. So, if I manage to complete and pass these, I may try to set up my own business offering these services.

Which direction am I going in? It can only be up from here

LO was done using elements from Computer Scrapbook's Honor and Heart and Soul kits
