LSNED 2011 - 22nd and 23rd September

22nd September
  1. A takeaway is always nicer when someone else pays.
  2. It doesn't take long to get organised for an interview.

  1. I hate early morning alarm clocks.
  2. It feels good getting dressed up smartly.
  3. Bus journeys are much nicer when I listen to music.
  4. Even when a bus is a little late, I can still make it to my appointment on time.
  5. I can walk further than I think.
  6. I still have tiny shards of the plate I broke ages ago on my kitchen floor. It certainly hurts when I get one in my foot.
  7. If ITV Player won't work, I need to give up for now try again later.

LSNED 2011 - 20th and 21st

20th September
  1. It takes forever to review 3 magazines. I should not do them all at the same time.
  2. Keeping busy means I think about food less.

21st September
  1. Timing is often weird. Mariah Carey's One Sweet Day was playing on my phone while I was on the bus in traffic outside the church for the brothers' double funeral. The next song that played was Glee with Lean On Me. Strange as I have all sorts of songs on there and it's set to play randomly.
  2. Life is way too short and precious.
  3. It is possible to get nice clothes on a shoe string.

UKScrappers - Digi CJ

I'm hosting a new concept in Circle Journals.

I give you the 'digi CJ'.

Twice a month, we do LOs for other people's CJ's and receive 2 back.

I'm hosting 2 teams and taking part in both. Here is the cover, intro/rules page, my LO and the LO I have received from Gill for my first CJ. Thank you so much Gill, it's gorgeous.

Here is my second digi CJ with my cover, intro/rules page and my LO.

LSNED 2011 - 19th September

19th September
  1. I have an interview on Friday for a job at HobbyCraft in Cambridge. Got the letter today.
  2. It's nice to be home after 3 weeks away.
  3. It's only 6 days until I'll be on holiday again. This time is purely for leisure with my youngest sister.
  4. Working out bus times is a minefield. Getting them to work in to each other is near on impossible, but calling the travel line will be too expensive to do.
  5. I spent WAAAAY too much money these last 4 weeks. I need to stop spending like this!

UKScrappers Weekly Challenge - Sept week 3 and Shimelle's Sketch of the Week

This week's challenge is set by Helen (Nerrly) and she challenged us to use:

* A clock or clock hands - Clock
* An embellishment made from something that relates to the event - I've turned a 2D silhouette of a cat into a 3D embellishment
* Something you don't like very much - the backing paper, so I've added paint splashes

I've also used this week's sketch from

LSNED 2011 - 13th - 18th September

13th September
  1. Time goes too fast.
  2. It is possible to get Chunky to go for a walk occasionally

14th September
  1. I'm getting quicker sorting the animals out (doesn't take quite an hour now!)
  2. It doesn't take long to go from Ely to Cambridge when there's no traffic.
  3. It feels good to get a parking spot near the Seetec centre.
  4. There are still people out there who think their ideal job is going to land in their laps even though they've no qualifications or experience to do it.
  5. I get frustrated when I hear someone who's put of work and claiming JSA, say that the only job they're going for is one that's never (or almost never) advertised.
  6. It's nice having lunch and the afternoon with Mum.
  7. I'm having my haircut this Friday.

15th September
  1. I sleep better when I don't try and stay awake longer than my body wants to.
  2. A drippy tap drives me crazy.
  3. The internet is losing its appeal.
  4. I should check I have taken everything off the washing line before retracting it or I end up with a mucky sock.
  5. The anticipation of a chip van tea is almost as good as the tea itself.
  6. Squirrels sound like birds when they talk.
  7. When I'm working with Craft Artist, I need to save my work more often.

16th September
  1. It's nice to have something to look forward to - haircut today.
  2. Sometimes a quick visit is nicer than no visit at all.
  3. A late lunch is definitely better than no lunch at all,
  4. Cuddles with my baby nephew are priceless.
  5. I need to stop being nosey on Facebook because what I read isn't always nice to see/hear.
  6. I should cook more often - a lesson I'm learning time and time again.
  7. Expect the unexpected.

17th September
  1. It doesn't take long to get straight when you're tidying up.
  2. I'm going to miss the country air and hearing less cars and no sirens.
  3. My camera lead will not fit in my phone! LOL I should take more notice of what I'm doing,
  4. Sometimes all you can do is be on the end of the phone.

18th September
  1. Cooking at Mum's is not the same as cooking at home. You get used to the tools and equipment you use and how your oven works.
  2. Mum's getting too good at Upwords now. Looking at our score sheet, I've won one out of about seven games.
  3. I'm definitely not going to 'get into' X Factor as it's still unfair with those who can't sing getting through to the next round. Will change my mind if I know someone who's in it one year.
  4. I'm still ready for bed around 10pm. Hope that changes for my hols with Jo or I'll be a killjoy during the evening.
