The lovely Shimelle does Journal Your Christmas every December. I'm not actually participating, but it got me thinking about doing my own version. So, I sat with my digi scrapping programme and designed some pages. I'm not doing this day by day and not limiting myself to one page per day if I feel I need more space some time. What I am doing, is recording things I see, do, smell and hear that make me think of the Christmas season and maybe some things I remember from Christmases past. So, take a walk with me and discover my Christmas.
Here's my page for 1st and 2nd December:
I never used to put my tree up so early. David and I put ours up around the second week in December. This year, my town's Christmas late night shopping and light switch on is the 3rd. I live next to the main car park and want my place to look festive so I've made sure I'm ready by putting my tree up tonight. Even the red sweetie trays made an appearance. I just need to buy some now. Here comes Christmas!
Today I decided to brave it and go to Tesco mid morning. I started feeling festive on the way there when I saw cars covered with frost. Quite pleased that I was on the bus so I didn't have to worry about cleaning the windows or the road conditions. Heart sank when I saw the car park was almost full. I battled with the other shoppers and managed to get my goods including some Christmas treats ready for wrapping. Still feeling festive I met Mum and we dropped off my shopping then went for lunch. After which, I drove her to see her Auntie in hospital. While she visited, I went for a soya latte. "Drinking in or take-away?" "Drinking in please." But the guy gave me a takeaway cup. I wasn't too happy at first, then realised it made a good photo for today's LO. Merry Costa indeed. Still would have preferred a Starbucks though.
