MAWTT - Christmas Crackers

These is my second and last week as a

I gave you a sneak preview of my digi card in my last post.
 The challenge is

 (i.e. Funny Christmas Cards)

If you take part, you could win a lovely prize from Sir Stampalot.

For this card, I used various Christmas kits available on the Daisy Trail website.
I beheaded the snowman and used a brush to add the melted snow.
Hope this put a smile on your face.

Thank you to MAWTT for letting me be part of the team
for the last two challenges. It's been fantastic

MAWTT - Stars

Brilliant challenge and perfect for a photo that was taken this week-end outside the pub where I work.
The pub is doing this all week-end (Thurs-Sun) and started a 48 hour relay cycle ride at 5pm Friday.

I haven't used kits for this LO.
Children in Need title, Pudsey and colours are official Children In Need 2012 ones.
I've also used a 12x12 PageMap sketch.

UKS CyberCrop

has been really busy this last fortnight and more with a Cyber Crop (CC) to celebrate books and UKScrapper's 10th birthday. If you don't know what one of those is, it's an on-line crafting event with classes, challenges, fun and games. We even had a game of bingo. CC's on UKScrappers (UKS) have always been a Friday - Sunday manic scrapping event organised by members of UKS. This time MaryAnne (MA) was in charge. She spread it over a longer period and encouraged us to take our time and do LOs we were proud of rather than speed scrap and do LOs just because.

Many many thanks to MA and all the people who took time to set a class, challenge or one of the fun and games items. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can't wait until next time. BTW, when is 'next time'? ;-)

Here are the LOs I did starting with the one I was least proud of and will be tweaked at some point, but won me a prize of some stamps (warning - LO heavy post now):

And here's the rest I did, starting with the pre-crop challenges:

LSNED 2012 - Day 30

My learnings and LO from Day 30 (the final day):
  1. By talking about something or someone that makes you sad every day, you are allowing them to keep taking over your life. For me, it's best to deal with it and move on
  2. I get easily distracted by other things when I should be getting on with housework or crafting - TV, FB ..... they all have a part to play!
  3. Every day I learn that I'm wasting too much time on FB. Will this ever sink into my brain and get me off the net? I doubt it
  4. I can now change colour of things in CA2P that I couldn't before
  5. You lose and gain friends on the way to the end of your rainbow
  6. This month has had its ups and downs. It's been a month of laughter and tears. Hard work and rewards. Friends and enemies. One thing it has taught me is to expect the unexpected

It's a sad day today. Every year, September 30th is a sad day because it means that not only is the month at an end, but so is this course. What is not sad, is that it's only 11 months until this rolls round again and the learning starts all over again. I don't want to wish this next year away, but roll on September 1st 2013!!!

LSNED 2012 - Days 26, 27, 28 and 29

My learnings and LO from Day 26:
  1. Writing down what I learn every day is a must

My learnings and LO from Day 27:
  1. I do not like having no-one to talk to on the bus due to others having lifts and different shift patterns
  2. People surprise you
  3. Confidence comes from within
  4. When a friend is down, I hate being so far away
  5. Brave Girls Truth e-mails so often hit the nail on the head

My learnings and LO from Day 28:
  1. I am not a good patient
  2. Knowing I'm financially stable, still makes me smile
  3. One number wrong in a phone number makes a difference
  4. Some things at work are just too complicated to get my head around

My learnings and LO from Day 29:
  1. I can get up early on a day off when there's things to do
  2. I need to stop buying comfort food when I'm feeling bleurgh
  3. Sleeping in the afternoon when I'm feeling bleurgh does not mean I'll wake up feeling any better
  4. And sleeping in the afternoon means that I can't get tired at night
  5. Working with Steampunk images is not so scary
  6. Despite everything in my life seeming great, I get lonely at times

LSNED 2012 - Days 23, 24 and 25

My learnings and LO from Day 23:
  1. No matter where I work, I smile and I laugh. Work is fun
  2. I have spent way too much money this month and I've no idea where it's all gone
  3. Sometimes you have to do what's best for yourself

My learnings and LO from Day 24:
  1. It's possible to smile and laugh at times even when things are bleurgh
  2. It's great sending happy mail even if it isn't much you're sending
  3. You can't always plan a delivery, it comes when it comes
  4. My family are amazing
  5. When you're too tired to even hold your mobile, it's time for bed

My learnings and LO from Day 25:
  1. Going to bed early does not mean I'll want to wake up early or feel better for it
  2. Doing LSNED is scary because it's a constant reminder of how quickly the days are going
  3. My back can seize up when I'm doing simple tasks
  4. The anticipation of new furniture is worth the wait
  5. Gluing and cutting into a book from the early 1900's is scary
